How to activate the Datasources in SAP BI 7.x without the standard program?

I need to activate the datasources in the Development System. I used the standard program RSDG_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE but the program is not working. I need to activate it in mass so is there any way to activate all the inactive datasources without using program.

The datasources are of 7.x and they are not replicated. They are created only in 7.x. I think i have to manually activate but it will take too manual work to activate.

How you say that they created in bw side? its standard data source.

Above data source might be loaded from source(data services), in that case replication is mandatory.

Take your colleagues help and follow the manual work if program was not working.

List the available data sources, divide the list and assign work to other bw consultants.

start working as manual activation.

Please try this once.

Replicate your data source in RSDS version.

Later run above program, select inactive objects and enter data source name.

execute in background and see. it may works.

If your BW dev system on bw 7.x then above program will work.

While replicating you need to select RSDS version of data source.

if your replicated 3.x data source then you need to migrate data source to 7.x by using t code - RSDS,

Menu Data source---> convert 3.x to 7.x.

or select data source -->right click --> migrate.

Before activating , try to replicate all data sources once & then try to activate through program .

Are You getting any error ? at the time of activation & alsp Check with this program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL

Hi Nikita,

Can you please check why the std program is not working...If it i not working then I think you need toactivate one by one manually.

Hi,

select the data source  -> right click -> change then activate button form the standard tool bar. - now it show the green symbol.

other wise you the standard program as suggested by you.
