How do I configure the portal UWL to not prompt user to log into backend?

We recently upgraded our SAP portal to 7.4. All functionality has been successful replicated except our leave request approval tasks in the UWL. When managers go to click on the task and Approve or Reject the leave request, they are prompted to log into the backend system. I wasn't here for the initial setup but what needs to be configured so the UWL task item recognizes the user already logged into the portal?

Is the issue only specific to UWL ?

Do you have any other backend application which are not accessed from UWL ? Do you have have the login to backend issue there as well ?

We have two additional UWL functions that do work properly and do not prompt the user to enter theitr credentials, expense reports approvals and job requisition approvals. So that's why I'm confused on what's special about leave request approvals.

We have the other portal functionality to approve leave requests from the Manager Self-Service > Team Page, but I'm trying to understand why this UWL issue is coming up.
