Hi,

You can run the setup in two ways:--

1) As a background job

2) using Dialog processor.

In 1 case , you can see the status of the Job in SM37.If it is finished it will be displayed as 'completed'.

In 2 case the screen does not allow your command until the process is completed.

Anil Kumar Sharma .P :

where can i set background job or Dialog processor.

I followed step listed below:

In the Display IMG view choose Business Information Warehouse > Settings for Application>Specific DataSources > Logistics > Managing Extract Structures >Initialization > Filling in the Setup Table > Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data > Perform Setup - SD Sales Orders.

i never find the setting entry!!!

Hi,

After entering into setup screen (as specified in the step,OLI7BW),

1) enter name of the run ( it is used to see the log of the job in SM37)

2) Enter termination date in future. It should be more than the time required for filling setup.

3) Then Select 'Program-> Execute in back ground' in menu options.

This will create the a background job for filling setup table.

If do not select the 'Program-> Execute in back ground' , then system will fill the setup using dialog processor.

Hi,

As Pradeep said , you can see the no of records in Setup table from SE11. To delete the contents of setup table, use TCODE LBWG, and then select the application number.

Hi,

The name of the setup table of a specific extraction

structure is just suffix 'SETUP' to the name of

extraction structure.

For ex:

Extraction Structure Setup table Name

MC11VA0HDR MC11VA0HDRSETUP

MC11VA0ITM MC11VA0ITMSETUP

Hi guixin,

After doing the perform setup..Immediately goto se11 and Open the table <extarctstructname>_setup..and check number of entries button frequently..It will show the increasing number..In this way you could find out setup is going fine...

Hi guixin chen

Ex: for Sales order Header(2LIS_11_VAHDR) extract stucture is: MC11VA0HDR.

U can check this: RSA6 -> SAP R/3 -> SD

->2LIS_11_VAHDR -> Display(Double Click), u can see the extract strcture.

Now ur setup table is: MC11VA0HDR_setup(0 is Zero not 'O'. check in SE11.

Cheers
