One of my dev spaces suddleny stopped responding.
I tried stutting it down and it froze like that since hours. I need to recover the work in it but the downoad icon is enabled only for RUNNING ones. How can i still download the filesystem?
Thanks,
Bogdan.
Hi Sergey, thank you, indeed, i was able to restart eventually the image (see my prev post) and downloaded the sourcecode. Then I had to delete the one with problems in order to create one anew. I don;t need the old workspace anymore.

Hello, i see that the devspace in question was deleted by user at 2022-07-17T20:40:59Z.
i have managed to get it to run again in limited mode, can you check if you can download the content now ?

Posting an update to my issue: The issue with starting seems to be due to not shutting down.(blocked on STOPPING to begin with).
It seems that trying to restart the image was increasing some timeout after which the image is shut down due to inactivity (at least on the free tier).
Letting it hang for some hours and would just let the time out pass and some process will force-kill it anyhow.
Then, restarting it might get some additional chances (like in m case)
To the maintenance/dev team: a good idea would be to have a kill button such that we don't loose half a day figuring things ourselves.

It's sad we don't get any warning before people start working on the cluster: I just saw that the new message now states: "You are allowed a total of 2 dev spaces, with only 1 running at a time." whereas previously it was "You are allowed a total of 3 dev spaces, with only 2 running at a time." So clearly someone is down scaling stuff.
I really don't understand why this is done without a previous warning to the users.

Hi Michal, thank you for your reply, greatly appreciated!
This is a urgent matter as i did not cloned the repo and I need the sources.
My BAS id is ws-c68qs(f1e029e3trial.us10cf.trial.applicationstudio.cloud.sap). The weird thing is that i do have 2 other workspaces in the same zone, which are comparable in size but they start/stop OK.
I'm thinking that if the ws-c68qs workspace is a doker (?) image then maybe i could fetch it from some repo and extract the sources from inside of it...but i didn't found any documentation onto how to reach that suspended image.
I tried restarting the image via postman using these trails (https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP%20Business%20Application%20Studio/9d1db9835307451daa8c930fbd9ab264/1f5458361583460b83eb0e208b89b0ed.html), but it hangs in STARTING

Hello Bogdan,
The download is possible only for running dev space.
Can you create a new dev space and clone your content from Git?
Can you send a link to your BAS?
Regards,
Michal
