Hi there,

I've forwarded your question to a more suitable forum, the MaxDB/liveCache forum.

To 'clear' the log, you would have to save the log. In order to do this, you would have to:

1. define backupmedia for:

a.) a full data backup

b.) a log backup

2. create a full data backup, using the medium defined

in step 1a.

3. create a log backup, using the medium defined in step 1b.

After the above steps, your log should now be at least partially emptied.

To make sure no further LOGFULL situations occur, you can also create a autolog backup medium and then switch on the AutoLog feature, which will backup the log whenever a certain filling level is reached.

The above steps can be done using either the Database Manager GUI tool or dbmcli (command line interface). The GUI would be the more convenient tool to use for this. Please make sure you're using the newest version of is before performing said steps.

Regards,

Roland
