Highlighting Function

Hi all!

I currently use the highlight function in a report to highlight a field if there is a quantity. It is set to highlight the box yellow. In some cases it is OK for a qty to exist........

Is there a way to conditionally highlight?

An example would be.... if (buyer code) = "XXXX" then ....do not highlight..... otherwise, highlight as set by the parameters.

Right click on the field and choose Format Field.

Under the Border tab, you can conditionally set a background color for that particular field depending upon its value.

Hi Travis,

You can conditionally highlight the field as follows:-

Right click the field, and click on 'Highlight Expert'. After this opens, click the 'New' button in the 'Item list' frame. The 'Item editor' frame will appear. In this, select the options from the drop down boxes as follows -

Value of: this field

is not equal to

XXXX

Set the background colour to 'Yellow'. Now, when you run the report. All the values for this field will have the background colour as yellow, except the value XXXX.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Alok Gupte.
