Hierarchy text display

Hi All,

recently we migrated to NW2004 bi7. I have one Infoobject with hierarchy, ave one query using hierarchy, in that we are not getting medium text, only short text is displayed..

we tried changing the infoobject bex properties and also the query properties.. I could not find any notes for this situation..

your help and inputs appreciated..

Hi GK,

Did you load the "text" data for the info-object. Possibly only the short text option is loaded or checked in "master data/text" tab of the info-object. Load the medium text and then check.

Hi Dinesh,

Every text is in there InfoObject. I am able to see this when I press maintain hierarchies. The only problem is in the query (BEX analyser)

Hi,

Have you tried changing the 'Hierarchy intent' to 'wide'?. You can do it in the Bex, Business explorer --> Format --> Hierarchy indent. I understand your question correctly, this may help you.

Hi Sundar,

I tried all the four option in the hierarchy indent. nothing helped..

we imported this query from the existing system into BI 7, in original system , it is showing up medium text, here it is showing short text by default.

any other possiblities ?
