Hierarchy display in the Report

Hi All Experts,

Please help me to complete this UNSPSC hierarchy. I am having this issue since last one month and still could not be able to resolve.

I have uploaded the hierarchy using this link:

Now I want to show the hierarchy in the report. For this I made a query keeping ZUSNP_SE (z info object for segment where the hierarchy has been created) in the rows and in the properties of this i have checked the option "active hierarchy".

Questions:

1) I am not getting the hierarchy in the report while i am just getting some records under the heading of "Not Assigned UNSPSC Segments". Why is it so?

2) I tried to execute the report using RSRT tcode but it is not executing. Why?

3) In the transformation between the cube and my flat file data source, I have linked UNSPSC to my z info object ZUNSP_SE. Is this right connection?

Help in detail will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Hierarchy should be visible in the report at any point of time unless it is authorisation object and u don't have authorisation..

check this point?

also point 3 I didn't get whether it is really required ,else skip it..

make simple object hierarchy and see in report it is appearing or not..

else carry out RSRV for objects,reports etc..

Hi Kiran,

I tried the following navigation in tcode RSRV:

RSRV--> Tests in Transaction RSRV -->All Elementary Tests --> Hierarchies --> Check Individual Hierarchy --> selected mine created hierarchy and got the result as finished and no warnings and no errors. All were in the green state.

Please suggest.

Did myself by creating hierarchy on the lower most level.

Hi Niranjan,

First of all check that you have properly maintained hierarchy in the infoobject and it is available in active version at infoobject level, you can check this from Hierarchy Tab in infoobject and click on Maintain Hierarchy button.

Once you find that hierarchy is active, in the report from Properties of that characteristic mark the active hierarchy checkbox and select the required hierarchy from dropdown. Once you do this you will get hierarchy display in report.

Yes, I have checked this and found that hierarchy is in the active version and it is displaying properly.

I did this too but I am getting only some records under the Column "Not Assigned UNSPSC Segments".

Hi,

What I seen in past is data goes to not assigned node when it is missing transaction data assignment.

Check in your transaction data (InfoCube) that you have proper values of master data infoobject maintained for which you have created hierarchy.

Can you please elaborate it in more detail. I couldn't follow your inputs.

Moreover, I checked in the Info cube and it is displaying the data but it is preceeding with 2 zeros For Ex. in the flat file UNSPSC code is 46181504 but it is showing in the cube as 0046181504. So i thought in the report i might getting "Not Assigned UNSPSC Segments" because of this.

So I chaged UNSPSC codes in the flat file of transaction data, appending with two zeros. So now my flat file also has the same code (10 digit) i.e. 0046181504. and laoded transaction data again. But still i am getting the same result.

Am i doing mistake anywhere? or is that what you mean to check in the cube?

Please give more inputs on this.
