HANA View does not show any data in QA Environment

Hi All,

We have HANA view with following properties and assigned same HANA repo roles(custom) and privilege's in both dev and QA system. Now in Dev can see data but cannot see any data in QA .

we also don't see any authorization message or any access fail log in trace file. We raised this issue to SAP and waiting for their 2nd team response.

*both dev and QA user has their session client in place.

Please share your experience and solution.

Is it a problem specific to one calculation view? Or all in the syetem?

Its the new role we have created to have more restricted access, we add any view in privilege it works in dev but not in QA.

Role:

one Custom Role with analytical privilege

Object Privilege:

REPOSITORY_REST(SYS) With EXECUTE

_SYS_BI With Select and Execute

_SYS_BIC With Select and Execute

Package:

ROOT Package with REPO READ

Can you try making the default client to cross client,in case you have data in the underlying tables.

Hi Sayantan,

I tried all odd combination after the right one didn’t work.

We have data in the underlying table as we can see it with more powerful role.

Concern is when same role works in one system and we transported all the objects with TR in QA , we believe it should behave same way(we manually checked everything is intact after reaching in QA)
and we don’t want to give direct table access .

if your suspecting this to be related to roles then can you remove the apply privilege section and send to qa and see if data is coming?

If it comes then see what condition is there in the previlege.
