Hi Experts,

We have created one ODBC DSN for HDB and for few days it has worked fine.We were able to import the tables from ECC to HANA. However now the same step showing error as below:

ODBC-Error

SQL State : 08S01

NATIVE ERROR:-10709

MESSAGE TEXT :[SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC]

Communication Link Failure:-10709 connection failed (RTE:[89006] system call 'connect' failed, rc=10061, No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it).

Please suggest on this ASAP.

Regards,

Sunil

Hello gentlemen, we are facing the same problem, but with port calling and correct settings! It happens that after a period of working and requesting Hana through powerBi Microsoft, the connection is refused after a period of time! With the restart of Hana services, the problem is resolved for another period and will reoccur! Has anyone already found a solution?

Hello,

1.This problem is due to Port Number.

2.Due to firewall may be check on cmd type ping (server address) to which you are trying to connect if you get request timed out it means firewall is blocking you connect with network team for the same.

3.install HANA ODBC drivers correctly.

Hello,

I did this part with a firewall and everything is fine.

Regarding the drivers, I already have it installed but it was done by the company I work for.

"SYS_DATABASES". "M_SERVICES" to check the ports ".
what do you mean by that? where do I do that?

I still have this error, someone can help me.

Wrong port will cause error. Suggest to check the port status.

Hi,

Can you please check if there was any change in the version upgrade and you have the right version of the HANA client with ODBC drivers installed.

Please also check the ODBC test connection regarding any change in server host name / IP etc.

I liked the error message though, "target machine actively refused it"

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for your reply. There is no change in the version as it is SPS7.Test Connection also not working.

Any firewall settings changed? Just a doubt..

You mean you are not able to create a DSN under system and it is unable to communicate to HANA server but from HANA studio you are able to communicate?
