HANA instance access within steampunk instance for "SAP HANA smart data access connections"

Team,

I was trying to explore " SAP HANA smart data access connections based on ODBC" . My question is can i create virtual table within the HANA instance of a steampunk instance. My intension is to access remote tables from steampunk. First of all , do partners and developers have access to HANA instance of steampunk.

As I know, SAP does not provide direct access to the underlying HANA instance in a Steampunk environment.
I would recommend to open a feature request.

I am having the same situation. Would it work to create another Hana Cloud instance that can be connected to the ECC system through SDA and to consume the virtual tables in the Steampunk (ABAP SQL and CDS views) via a destination?

@DenisPopescu - That could be a possible workaround, but this approach might have some limitations and it's recommended to test it thoroughly before using it in a production environment. Also, keep in mind that additional costs might apply for this.
