HANA Express 2.0 which space to use, SAP, develpment, or new one for SHINE_USER

hi all

i have just installed and going through the setup for my HANA Express 2.0.

i now have an option for my SHINE_USER to assign the SPACE Role, but for which SPACE ? Do I use the SAP, development or do i create a completely new one.

I have a small 16GB laptop, so memory is not abundant.

Welcome back 😉

A space itself is just a box; the apps and services consume memory. The development space is a default space for ... development! It is created by SAP to stop you from using the SAP space 😉

You can put SHINE in either space (as it concerns SAP software) but also in a new space. When removing a space, you also nicely clean up anything created for that space.

just quickly, do the Spaces share the resources, or do they need their own (which is what i am guessing).

Both 😉

You can create service instances in dedicated and shared mode.
