Got errors When Connect to Oracle Using SLT

Hi Guys,

When I used SLT replication server to connect Oracle database, I got issues.

After configuring Connection (transaction LTR), schema and RS* tables was created on HANA successfully, but DD02L and DD02T didn't contain any records. So I decided to provision table via transaction LTRC, it didn't work. I checked ST22 and found a short dump on method CL_IUUC_DB_RCV_HDB~TYPRED_TYPE_REDEFINITON line 59. details as below:

Category               ABAP Programming Error

Runtime Errors         STRING_OFFSET_TOO_LARGE

Except.                CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS

ABAP Program           CL_IUUC_DB_RCV_HDB============CP

Application Component  CA-EUR

Date and Time          2013.07.22 23:59:58

Short text

Illegal access to a string (offset too large)

What happened?

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_IUUC_DB_RCV_HDB============CP" had to be

     terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

I have check many notes, but I still can't solve the issue. Have anyone got this?

Sam

Hi Sam,

on which SP level you are? Have you applied all related correction notes?

You find them here: http://scn.sap.com/community/replication-server/blog/2013/02/27/list-of-all-slt-notes

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for your reply. I am on DMIS 2010 SP7.

I have checked the Non Sap Repplication notes on http://scn.sap.com/community/replication-server/blog/2013/02/27/list-of-all-slt-notes, and also the Note 1709225 (Installation/Upgrade SLT - DMIS 2010 SP7 / 2011 SP2), all the notes don't need to be applied (they are grey) in my system.

Is there any other solutions?

By the way, there are more than 80,000 tables on the Oracle database, does it matter?

Hi Sam,

first I would recommend to upgrade to the latest patch lvl. Anyway you need to aply the SP7 relevant correction notes - is it right that you applied all listed within this note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1709225 ?

I would recommend to install all correction notes to ensure that all bugs are fixed.

have you the possibilty to upgrade on the latest SP? If yes, I would also recommend to do it.

Best,

Tobias
