Hi all,

I'm creating a generic delta extractor using a DB view for master data upload. But i dont have any unique date field that i can do delta on. Can i add some field to the extractor which can enable delta to the extractor, like current date etc. If so what fields can i use?

Any help or pointer would be ap[preciated and fully rewarded. Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Mav.

Hi,

Yes, you can specify field even if you dont have.

Mention AEDAT ( system date)as Delta Specific Field.

It will solve the perpose.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ashish,

Thanks for the reply. I dont have that field in my extractor, then how can i mention that field to be delta specific, do i need to add that field to my view too?

Can u be more elaborate on that? that would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Hi,

Generic extractors supports delta based on:

-Time Stamp

-cal day

-Numeric pointer

check your requirement and think which will best suit your requirement.

You can mention SEQUENCENO ( Sequence number also as a field)

You can also use 0calday if you think that you need to have delta loads everyday.

If you want to load delta say 5-6 times in a day, in this case you can use timestamp as delta .check in your R/3 system definatily there will be some objects created for this. Go to SE11 in Data Type option say TIM press F4 see if object like BDDATETIME etc. are there.

Hope this helps.
