Freezing the template

Hi all of you,

I want to know what does the term "Freezing the template" means? I was listening to a BW interview and a question was asked

What templates did you create and customize?

The person answered the templates that he had created and customized and then said,

"I only customized the templates but I was not involved in freezing the templates"

So can any one please tell me what does the term "Freezing the template mean"

I would think he meant that scenario like "Freeze Panes" in Microsoft Excel.

You scroll down in a table, but the table header stays fixed.
