FPN - Consumer does not see 'ALL' Roles Types from Producer

Good Morning Experts,

we have FPN

Consumer is EP 7.01

Producer is CE 7.2

We have a problem with Remote Role Assignment

The Producer, CE, has Roles Types, UME Database and Portal Role

In the Consumer, EP, we can only see the Roles from the Producer, CE, of type Portal Role

How can we configure it that we can see the Roles in the Producer, CE, of type UME Database ?

Hi,

FPN is only available for portal roles - not for ume ones. This is not possible.

Ok, so what to do ?

All of the Roles which have been created in CE (Producer) as UME Database, do they need to be recreated as Portal Roles so that they will be visible from the Consumer ?

Or how to get around this ?

Hi,

there a 2 types of roles available:

Portal role

UME role

UME role is only needed for giving access to Java applications (UME Actions), while the portal role gives also access to a navigation.

As the Producer <-> Consumer concept for RRA is made for consuming a remote navigation, you can only consume portal roles in a FPN. In your case this means that you'll have to create portal roles.
