Formula don't give a result with drilldown

I have a query with Posting period in the columns and a structure with certain KPIs in the rows. Some of these KPIs are daily averages. To make it simple: I have a key figure in one row. In another row I have a formula calculating the number of days based on the Posting period (using a replacementh path variable in the formula). In a third row the key figure is divided by the number of days in the period.

This works perfectly well without any drilldowns. It even works with drilldowns. The problem arises when you filter on only the KPI, or on the KPI and the number of days, and then drilldown on some characteristic. I then get "No applicable data found". However, when also including another row in the filter, with a not-per-day key figure, I do get the correct result.

I believe the problem is the formula for the number of days. Why won't this formula return a result for a drilldown unless another key figure is displayed as well?

If char used for replacement path doesn't appears in drilldown, no value for formula is given, you will have problems in total line too.

Because of the same reason (i think) if you select only that formula for displaying query result is 'No applicable data found', if you dont have drilldown by your char specified in query definition.

Posting period is always available in the columns. I'm only talking about drilldown in the rows. And note that I do get the expected results if I also include another key figure in the filter.

Each line in report appears because key figures have any value, then replacement formula is applien on that row. If you eliminate key figures then no lines in report and no replacement can be done.
