Fiori attachments storage into OpenText archive

Hi Experts,

As Fiori doesn't support Archivelink or GOS feature in most of its apps, we have configured content repository in OACO with storage area as DMS but OpenText core archive as the host. How can we verify the documents uploaded from Fiori apps are uploaded in OpenText archive.

-After documents are uploaded in Fiori, the source is displayed as DMS (refer attached screenshot), so it is ambiguous the content is stored in which system.

-Which table or where in S/4 system can I check the document is going to OpenText. Unlike in Archivelink tables TOA01, etc, I dont see such doc type, repository information for documents uploaded in Fiori.

-OpenText Core Archive connector simply displays volume details in chart report but no individual document details, that too after 12 hours of upload the report gets refreshed with docs read, written. Logs are on remote server, not straight forward to find a way how to check this when storage area in the repository is DMS but host server is OpenText.

-Also, has anyone used OpenText Business Object Browser in Fiori? Will it work with ADA license without VIM or would require VIM / xECM license?

Appreciate any inputs or suggestions. Thanks!

Hello,

there are indeed more and more Fiori Apps that are storing attachments as DMS objects.

This means that DIRs (Document Info Record) are automatically created by the system and are:

- On one hand connected to the object on which you are adding attachments

- On the other hand storing the attachment

You can use CV04N to retrieve the list of created DIRs. There if you open one at the bottom of the first screen you'll see the attachments. The important element there, to find out where they are physically stored, is the Storage Cat. attribute = Storage Category.

Once you have identified the Storage Category, just go in transaction OACT to retrieve it; there you can also see the corresponding content repository, define in OAC0 and that can be database storage, OpenText content server etc.

In OACT you can change the content repository so that the Storage Category used in the DIRs is well going to your desired content server.

In DMS configuration you can also do the changes to use another storage category...
