Filters using frames ...

Hi there,

We have a web template with two webitems: a navigation block and a table. We want to divide this webitems in two different web templates using frames. In one frame call the filter through a dropbox and in the other frame show the table result filtered by the value selected on the dropbox.

Please, we need some light to accomplish this issue.

Regards...

Enrique

Hi,

Why don't you use a simple <table> tag to divide the web template into as you like. One thing you need to understand is what ever you do with data is related to the data provider. So whereever is your dropdown is put doesn't matter to the data provider.

Arun,

We don´t want to use the simple tag because is necessary resize the frame with the dropdown boxes, the simple

tag do not have that functionality.

I understand that you mentioned about the dataprovider, but your comment is only valid to webitems and dataproviders in the same web template.

We need put the filters in one frame because always must be accessible independent of the size of the query result.

Do you know another way to achieve this?

Enrique
