Hi experts!!

I am new to Portal developement and i need some advice.

There is a need in a project i am working on where the portal user should be able to upload files. I know that in web dynpro java we can use UI elements "file upload". What i don't understand is where will these files be stored. The portal i am working on is an external facing portal. Should we use a server for the file storage????

Any advice will be helpful.

Thanx in advance!!!

Hi,

You can store the files in a Repository in KM.

In KM you have different KM Repositories, that means different storage medias.

For example you can saved files in File System by using File System Repository Manager.

The same way you can also save your files in DB:

So it depends on your requirement where you want to save your file:

You can also integrate you webdynpro application to be called from KM, like this:
