File size of the Adobe Interactive Form

Former Member

Hello,

I have an issue with my adobe form created with Web Dynpro. I tested the adobe form offline and got into trouble with the file size (approx. 700 KB).

If I fill the form with data, the file size grows (approx. 700 x 2,7).

If I remove the data from the form, the file size grows ALSO.

Does anybody have the same problem and already solve it?

How can I prevent that the file grows so extremely?

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Marita

Hi Marita,

This is the feature of Adobe Forms,

Even if you dont enter any data and still just click on Save the file size still increases almost three fold.

Thanks,

Hi Samta,

that is really bad feature. Apparently, the update of the Adobe Reader 7.0.7 should solve this problem. I already have 7.0.8, but it doesn't help. The file size increases considerably.

Kind Regards,

If this is a "feature", I would quickly open a "feature report" in OSS.

Hi Marita,

could you please open a customer message on component BC-SRV-FP, attach your PDF to it, and let us know about the releases and SP levels you're using? In that case, our support can look into it.

Do you also have figures on the amount of file size increase?

Thanks,

Hello Markus,

thanks for your answer. We will open a custom message.

With regard to your question:

Yes, I have figured the increasing amount of the file:

1. When you save the file, the file size

=> 654 KB

2. Wenn you edit and save the file, the file size

=> 654 KB * 2,7 = 1766 KB

3. Afterwards, the file size increases by (appr. +50 KB)

Kind Regards,

Marita
