Field description missing in data source

Hi all together,

we have here several source systems connected to our BI 7.0.

for one of th esource systems, there is a strange behaviour.

After replicating the data sources there are no field descriptions shown in the data source. technical names of the felds are all correct, but no descriptions are shown.

Has anyone an idea what is missing in our settings?

Hi...check if the language was properly installed in BW also check if you have loaded the server parameters of R3 system like language, currency, etc.

Hi Oskar,

I somehow already thought it might be a language problem, but I can´t find where a language setting is missing.

BW is working in german (where we are missing the descriptions), for one source system it is showing everything all right, for th eother source system not.

What do you mean by loading server parameters from R/3? When I go to "Source System" and take over the general settings, there are currencise and units, but no languages.

Problem was, that german was not properly installed in the source system.
