FI-AA Asset accounting data load fails

Hello all,

I'm trying to load 0FI_AA_11 & 0FI_AA_12 to the cubes...and the request fails with a short dump ...Time out... you think its better to schedule the load background ?? any suggestions ??

any other tips about loading procedures for asset accounting cubes would also help..

Did the data get to the PSA ok? (All the data)

What are the dump messages? You get any errors in SM21?

The extract from the movement ODS to the cube for one of the extractors is quite heavy as not only does it update the cube it also updates the period ODS - and creates up to 144 entries for every entry in the base ODS

You have to play around with parallel/serial and package sizes or up the memory and CPU processign power to deal with it

BW FI_AA is really very very heavy for this reason..

One record for a movement in R3 will generate

one record per currency type X say 2 (local and group) = 2

mulitplied by number of depreciation areas - say 4 = 8

multiplied by number of periods (say we are in period 1) - x 12 = 144 records!!!

The short dump is on the R3 side? Try running the data source in RSA3 on the R3 side and see if you get the same dump. If you do, check OSS or Open a message with SAP.

extractors are working fine on the R/3 side ...short dump on the BW side...no dump on the R/3 side...

hello,

i wanted to know if u ahve implemented Asset Accounting in BW?

because we r developing reports on standard cubes..

but user expects to develop R/3 reports like asset balances,asset standard movements etc in BW also.

they require period wise and this involves complex calculations..

so wanted to know if u ahve done reports in BW..if so wht r the types of reports??

expect an early response..as this is really urgent!!
