Hi All,
We have installed EP (Netweaver 7.3) and BW (Netweaver 7.0) . Currently i'm configuring the federated portal network in which i have struck in Setup the producer and consumer registration. We are having EP as consumer and BW as producer. I'm unable to bring the BW system into EP as a producer. I'm trying all these under the tab SYSTEM CONFIGURATION - FEDERATED PORTAL - Manage my FPN connections.
Steps to take to setup an FPN
u2022Setup trust relation between the two portal - done
u2022Enable SSO between the portals - done
u2022Enable content registration - done
u2022Register content in the consumer - struck here in the consumer system
u2022Provide content in the producer
I'm configuring the FPN with following link
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/ImplementingaFederatedPortalNetworkonSAPNetWeaverPortal+7
Kindly throw some light on this issue.
Regards,
Rajagopal

Hi Anja,
Thanks for replying .i was trying to create a new FPN connection.Gave the sytem details.
1. In My system settings tab i included the consumer system. i didnt provide any details on the right side which showsRMI P4 connection method and protocol.
2. similarly in remote system settings tab i have given the producer system details and didnt provide anything on the rightside information
3. gave a FPN connection alias name
4.under trust tab i skipped the step
5. Under permissions tab i provided the read access for all the users
while saving it was asking for the registering with password. It is showing the message that it is registered. While checking the same in producer system we are unable to find the system under the federated portal - consumer.
i have checked with the snotes 1580463,1083421.

Hi,
maybe you can describe your problem a little more in detail. At the moment we just know that you are stuck at one point in configuration. Where is the problem exactly?
