Facing a problem with Query iView

Former Member

I am working on EP 6.0 SP7 installation of Enterprise Portal.

I am facing a problem in configuring a Query iView in the portal. After specifying the alias name of the JDBC system, while creating the iview, the next step involves specifying the Query Properties Selection, where from the system tree we choose the object properties to include in your query.

But I am unable to add the JDBC System alias into the object properties owing to which i am unable to configure the Query iView.

Can anybody who has configured the query iview help me in this please?

Hello Saipavitra,

There are some known problems with the Query iView not running on the portal that SP9 fixes so the 1st step I would take is to patch your system (Both WAS and EP) to SP9.

If this is not an option then you might like to try using JDBC Stored Procedure iView as this seems to work without the DQE.

You will off course need to write the stored procedure on the database for the query that you wish to execute.

If neither of these things resolve the problem then I would look at the user mapping that you have configured. Check and double check these settings and use a user\pwd with admin access to the database in the first instance while you are trying to get it working. After that you can try use a user with less permissions if security is a concern.

Hope this helps and please assign points by clicking the star on this message if this has assisted you with your problem.

Kind Regards
