Is there any option to export the crystal report to excel (predefined ie containing header & footer)?
Not through the CR/INfoVIew export function. But you may want to consider the usage of LiveOffice for this. It enables report object binding into MS-Office document. This means that you can embedd your CR report or parts of it into a predefined Excel (or Word or Powerpoint etc) document.

Using ODBC you can pull data from the database directly into an excel spread sheet.
This can be refreshed at the press of a button.
You can then selet the fields into the format you need.
in excel go to the data menu then select from other sources.

OK so you dont like my idea of pulling the data directly from the data base into your excel spread sheet template.
So try this suggestion.
Export the Crystal report to a text file or CSV .
Open your template spreadsheet and use the function on data menu "from other sources" to import it into your template.
