Experience with 0EC_PCA_3 datasource performance

Hi,

Can you please help me with some numbers that I could use for evaluating whether 0EC_PCA_3 works correctly in our system or there still might be some bottlenecks I should look for. Data I need are as follows:

- number of records in GLPCA table in R/3

- number of records loaded daily into BW with delta update, using 0EC_PCA_3

- average daily running time (loading with 0EC_PCA_3)

E.g. we have ca. 75,000,000 records in GLPCA, ca. 30,000 records daily, the average running time is ca. 30 minutes.

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

Csaba

Hi Csaba,

I haven't a direct experience, but such a benchmark could be not so precise ... much depends on th underlying servers!

What I wanted to suggest is taking a look at OSS Note 597909, that explains how to speed up extraction performance adding secondary indexes. Did you already applied it?

Hope it helps

Hi Csaba,

You need to look out for currency types. The BW extractor splits each line in GLPCA into 3 rows based on the currency types 00,10 &20.

Also if you are going ahead with a PCA Balance sheet requirement, you might have implemented an OSS correction for cumulative balances. This can also bload up your records in the cube.

Do mail back with more details if u need further help.
