Dear all.

We have users executing only workbooks through BeX Analyzer.

Hence the user carries out the steps as : Log into Bex Analyzer -> Open Workbook -> Select ROLE Folder -> Execute Workbook.

Requirement is now to allow some of user to Execute specific query,

Is it Possible for the user to execute query using the below steps:

Log into Bex Analyzer -> Open Query -> Select ROLE Folder -> Execute Query.

We tried inserting the Query in Role Menu.(pfcg-> Add report -> BW Report)

But the Query is not visible in the ROLE Folder in Bex Analyzer,

Please let me know the approach the user needs to do to execute specific query thru ROLE Folder.

Regards.

Hi Ajit,

The easiest Way of adding a BEx Query to the Role is as follows:

- Go to "Query Designer"

- Click on "Open Query"

- Select the Query you want to assign to Role

- Click on the "Enter in Role" button on the top

- Select the location and create the Role Entry

Now if u open the Analyser, you can get the Query from the Roles tab.

Hope that helps.

I assume you have some roles defined already. If so, go to Query Designer, open the query you want to make available for specific roles. Then go to Query > Publish > To Role...

The Add to Folder opens up with a list of available roles to publish to. Select the role and click OK.

Hi Ajit,

- After you open the Query designer (3.x) and click on the "open query", you get a "OPEN QUERY" dialog box.

- Here you will see the Query that you would like to get in Roles tab.

- Once you find it, click on it once to highlight it.

- Once the Query is highlighted, in the top of this "OPEN QUERY" dialog box, we will find some buttons active.

- Third one of these buttons is the "ENTER IN ROLE" button that you need.

- Click on that button.

- Select the location and create the desired Query as the Role Entry

Once you are done with this, you can check as i said you earlier.

(NOTE: The pre-requisite is that you should have access to edit role via object S_USR_AGR in any role.

The role to which you want to assign query, should be assigned to you in Tcode Su01.)

Hope this is clear.

Dear ALL,

Issue is resolved.

I have published the queries to the Role eg R1

Assigned S_USER_AGR = R1 and S_USER_TCD = RRMX to the user.

Also Assigned R1 to the user id of the user.

Ajit
