Exchange Web Services Trace

Former Member

Hello all,

I have created a C# COM+ wrapper for Exchange Web Services API which I call from my PB 12.5 app. This works great.

I am now trying to debug some issues and I enabled trace in my C# code and compiled a new dll. The trace generates text files which can help me with the debug. This works fine and trace files are generated, when I run my PB app from the IDE. But, when I compile my PB app and run the exe, trace files are not generated. Any idea what might be wrong?

Thank you.

AV.

Hi AV;

  FWIW: You can also try the PB Application's EXE command-line trace option .... for example:

EXEFILE  /pbdebug

Hi AV;

  If this is PB Classic .. then you also have to remember to deploy the PBTRACEnnn.DLL with your application EXE in order for PB tracing to work.

FYI: The "pbtra125.dll" file on my PC is located in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sybase125\Shared\PowerBuilder" PB 12.5.x installation folder.

I was under the impression that pbtraxxx.dll is to trace database issues.

I copied it along with my application but that did not help. Sorry...
