Thanks,

I got 51.3 GB free space remain out of 111GB.

i think it's enough

( I already installed MSSQL , and SAPGUI )

what do you think ?

yes space is good. Do you still have this error ?

If its still showing error , i guess is problem with your transport directory. Please verify that you can access the sap/trans directory.Durung installation what did you give for SAP transport Host? local host name or any other host name ?

Thanks

yes i still get this error..

i got the value from PDC.

ipaddress w2ksrv SAPTRANSHOST

i didn't use the local host as SAPTRANSHOST.

Yes, i can access sap/trans folder..

there are some folders...

<b>Question</b>

1. the SAP trans host should be online when i install solution manager? or it doesn't matter?

2. Is it okay if i delete SAPTRANSHOST line from hosts file?

3. Do i really add SAPTRANSHOST into hosts file ?

or leave it empty ( I think i can get this value from PDC ).

Thanks again Prince Jose

From your attached file I understood that report RADDBIF failed.

Cause:

In these steps, ABAP reports (RSWBOINS or RADDBDIF) are executed for the first time after the first start of your SAP system. Errors can occur for different reasons, for example because the SAP system was not correctly started or is not correctly configured. However, the complete execution of the report is very important because otherwise errors.

Solution:

First use the Management Console (or SAP Service Manager) to check whether the SAP system is running correctly. If not, check the points that are described under DBR3START_NT_IND.

Then, as a test, log onto your system with a SAPGUI and check whether Reports RSWBOINS and RADDBDIF can be executed manually in Transaction SE38.

If manual execution of Report "RADDBDIF" in Transaction SE38 leads to a short dump "WRITE_FAILED", the alias "SAPTRANSHOST" was probably not found or there were problems when writing into the transport directory.

During the installation, if you enter the local computer for the requestfor the SAP Tranport Host, this is used correctly. However, if you enter another host name, it must also be accessible under the alias "SAPTRANSHOST"; otherwise, R/3 will not function correctly and the termination mentioned above occurs.

Enter this alias in your DNS server or add the following line to your \winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file (or modify an existing line accordingly):

"<IP number of transport host> <Name of transp.host> SAPTRANSHOST"

Check whether the change was successful, for example with

"dir
SAPTRANSHOST\sapmnt\trans". Check also that the user SAPService<SID> of your system has write authorizations on the transport directory.

Then restart R/3 and the Service SAP<SID>_ and continue the installation.

Also go through OSS note 162266

Thanks

When i look at the Management Console, the second node doesn't show green.

so i unintalled all .

I added localhost as SAPTRANSHOST in hosts file.

As you mentioned "During the installation, if you enter the local computer for the requestfor the SAP Tranport Host, this is used correctly."

Now i'm watching the installation screen..

Thanks a lot Prince Jose ____

Hi

Error1 : I cannot see any SID from sapmmc.

check

1) whether sap ( C:\usr\sap) directory is shared.Share name should be saploc. ( right click on folder sap --> Properties --> sharing )

2) This also could be missing DLLs.To install the missing DLLs execute 'R3DLLINS.EXE'. This is attached to note 684106.

Error 2:

saposcol runs under user SAPService<sid> user. Try to reset the password for this user and change the same in services.

After changing the password go to start --> run -> services.msc , there right click on SAPOSCOL --> properties --> put the new password there and start the service .

Also check whether sapservice<sid> is added to policies like log on as service and access this computer from network.

You can see this from Local security settings ( control panel --> Administrative tool ) --> Locaacl Polices --> User Rights assignment.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

One more thing to consider is to switch off the windows firewall, that is if you're running the installation on Windows.

Ciao!

The issue is that the transport domain does not exist, configured and distrubuted in your system. Check Rz10 profle parms and verify that the DIR_EPS_ROOT and DIR_TRANS are valid location in the instance profile. Then restart system and run STMS to configure the transport domain. Once you configure the TP domain, "run a retry" and it will work. Note you can receive this on ECC install as well.

yeah, it occurred to me also, ultimately resulted as permission problem, try assigning full permissions to everyone ( for test purpose ) on the destination folder and see if that resolve the issue.

Hi

what file and the path should add full permission ?

I had the same issue and it was related to SAPTRANSHOST. <sid>adm didn't have access. I manually granted permission and setup ran without any issues...

Thanks!
