Hi SR,

As mentioned by GLM, go to the SAP MarketPlace and via there, you can proceed to SAP PC (or use this https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/contentportfolio).

There are 3 BP for ESS, choose the BP with suit your EP and backend system. Click on the text and you can see the below:

1) Primary Backend System

2) Portal Release

3) iView Runtime Technology

From there, you should be able to gauage which BP to download.

How to configure after download, pls see my post in your other post. Good Luck !!

Hope that helps.

Hi Ray,

In sdn I found 3 types .Here I have one doubt under Release, it is having the format eg:50.3.1 what is the meaning of that number ?.Is there any ristictions to downloading the specific number for specific EP AND r/3.

you'll see the required backend in section "Primary Backend System"

rule of thumb:

1.x is for SAP - ERP 2005 (ERP 6.0) WebDynpro Java based

60.x is for SAP ERP 2004 WebDynpro Java based

50.x is for R/3 4.7 ITS-based

sai,

goto http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo

there you'll find something like

sap.com/SAP-JEE 7.00 SPxx

this means, you're on Netweaver 7.00 (formerly 2004s), otherwise you'll see 6.40 (that's Netweaver 2004)

Hi SR,

As mentioned by AH above with the URL. You can find your SP on the top right of your screen.

Hope that helps.

Hi Sairam...which version of portal have you installed. ECC 6.0 with Eh2 or without?

A rule of thumb is.....if you have installed NW2004S SP15 then go to service marketpalce site (http://service.sap.com) and download the ESS package which corresponds to your SP level. If you search SDN you will get the list of components you need to download to have ESS on your system.

Thanks,
