Error when activating ODS

Hi,

I am getting an error - Error during confirmation of process 000001

Message no. RSODSO_TOOLS087 when activating a ODS in the process chain.

The error also says - Activation of M records from DataStore object ZDISTSEC terminated

Message no. RSM1102

Can anyone help....

Hi,

Please run SE11 for the ODS table name. Then goto the database utility and choose adjust.

This fixed this problem for me.

If you are on a oracle database. Refer to oss notes 634458, 84348.

The manual changes descripted in this note refer to ODS write-optimized and I don't have it.

No. 4) in the above mentioned note refers to not-write-optimized ODSs, but only if the database-system is ORACLE. It says if you have to do repartitioning in MSSQL, you'd have to post an OSS request.

I'm actually having the same poblem, but with Oracle as the DB-system. I'm still experimenting with this note.

Can you provide some more details on the error message? What version of BW are you running and what support pack level? I couldn't find an exact hit in OSS for that but there are some notes regarding ODS activation failing with no error message.

I am using BW 7.0 and the support pack is 7.0

There a number of OSS notes regarding ODS activation that seem to pertain to BI 7.0. Several of them SAP suggests are fixed with "BI in Netweaver 2004s SP 8" in the notes.

Check OSS notes 937363, 926562, 978772 - one of these might help?
