Hi Community,

I'm running ERP 6.06/ NW7.31 on Sybase ASE

During SPAD calculation I'm getting the following dump:

Category           Installation Errors
Runtime Errors     DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
Except.            CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time      08.11.2012 19:43:50

Short text

SQL error 106 when accessing table "SMODILOG".

What happened?

Error Text of the Database: "[ASE Error SQL106]Too many table names in the

query. The maximum allowable is 50.#"

The most entries in Sybase forums reccomend to reduce the number of tables... I think they are not running on SAP.

Can anybody help?

Solution was provided by SAP Support - thanks for that

Solution:

Reduce Parameter rsdb/max_blocking_factor to 20 and retry.

Hi! We have the same error!

rsdb/max_blocking_factor = 20! But the error remains.

Hi Arne.

Can you identify the OpenSQL-statement that causes this issue? Are there any modifications to the code / DB hints added? There are ways to solve this issues with hints or by rewritting code but I would like to analyze this in more detail.

Especially if this is standard SAP code it would be great if you could open a customer message (BC-DB-SYB) and we will have a look at this issue in more detail.

Hi Jan,

the system is a new installation. There are no modifications/hints defined so far.

So this is SAP Standard coding.

The system is even empty (first enduser access of the customer was this morning)

I installed the Support Package SAP_BASIS 4 and 5 (ralated to get the last DBACOCKPIT functions)

During the support package implementation I want to reset two SAP notes to original in SPAU.

I will open a OSS message in the next minutes, then you can access the system.

Regards

Arne
