Error: Regarding the parameter value as a column name

Hi,

when i'm trying to use a parameter in the command i get an error message.

i have defined the parameter CustomerName in the command/

The command is: select * from OSCL where customer={?CustomerName}

after pressing OK button and prompting a customer name (for example DSI) i get the following message:

"Failed to retrieve data from database.....Invalid column name 'DSI' "

for some reason it takes the parameter value as a column name.

thanks, udi

Unless customer is a number, {?CustomerName} needs to be wrapped in single quotes. Like this...

select * from OSCL where customer='{?CustomerName}'

HTH,

Jason
