Error recreating a sub-account in SAP Cloud Platform Trial

I'm currently doing the Open SAP S4 HANA SDK course. After some initial success I ended up with a some code that wasn't working, so I decided to start again with a clean sheet.and deleted the sub account I had created. I now cannot create the sub account with the same name as before even though it does not appear to exist in the account sub-accounts:

I can create a new sub-account with a new name but there is no quota left to assign to it (i.e. no memory, service etc.).

It looks like the original 'Dev' sub account is in a zombie state but I can't find anyway to kill it properly and get the quota back.

Has anybody any ideas?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I would recommend that take a look at the following question:
https://answers.sap.com/questions/541477/setting-up-trial-cf-subaccount.html?childToView=542490#answ...

Here you can find the answer:

"When you creating a new subaccount you have to provide 2 parameters. First is the display name. You can write anything to here.

The Subdomain has to be specific. I would suggest that use your P number with string trial like : P123456789trial"

I think this should help for you too.

Best regards,
Szabolcs

Hi Dave,

If you assign more than 2 GB Memory then you are getting this error. (I have the same... and even there is another question for that: https://answers.sap.com/questions/679299/error-message-unable-to-save-quota-conflict-409-wh.html )

But 2 GB should be enough.

Best regards,
Szabolcs

Actually, I can assign a memory of '2'. Hopefully that will be enough!

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for sharing this!

This is a known bug and the fix should be deployed in the next iteration of the Cloud Platform.

Hi Szabolcs,

Thanks for the answer. I can create a new sub-account, as suggested in the link, but I cannot set up any entitlements since I get the error 'Unable to save quota: Conflict (409)'

Regards,

Dave
