error in preview of Bsp Iview

Hi Every One

Iam facing a problem in portal may be of security issue

I have an Bsp Application with some start page , i have

configured it in portal as Bsp Iview with the required start page.

When i test the application in R/3 its working fine,

But whn i preview that iview in portal i get a security alert window saying that

you are about to redirected to a connection that is not secure

with two buttons yes and No

when i click on yes its asking again and again as a loop

,but when i click on No its stoping with out any preview.

As My portal is on Http and want to be on Http, i think

its redirecting to Https which doesnt exist as of my

landscape.Hope everything is on Http only.

I had made some serch and changed the security seetings of

IE ,but no use.

when i use Mozilla , it says as

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the

request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I Think this might not be the problem of my applciaion ?

Can u ppl help me in resolving this issue.

What might be the problem

Hi Sandeep,

1. In your system definition, check what protocol you are using for Web application server. Keep the same protcol in the Web application server settings on which you are accessing Portal.

2. You can turn on HTTP watch tool and check, when you run BSP page from Portal where the request is going.

iam using Http as the protocol.

when i watch the trace on HTTP Watch , its getting not getting redirected to that particular page ,some where in that error i see as INET_E_REDIRECT_FAILED.

when that happens its asking prompting for yes or no

Hi Sandeep,

If you see the HTTP watch trace the request is going to HTTPS,

https://svkmeccdev.svkm.ac.in:8080/sap(bD1lbiZjPTEyMA==)/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?

Check in ststem definition for Web application server, if the protocol mentioned is HTTPS and also the Port is showing as 8080 which is https port.

yes , iam on http which in turn is redirecting to https

In My system webapplication server is of http and the port is 8000

even when i test on backend the application in r/3 is showing the port as 8080 and the protocol is https.

But my portal is based on http.

Hello Sandeep,

Check in your backend system with TX=SMICM to check your ICM Setting.

You need to check both HTTP & HTTPS configuration is same or not.

In The Back end services both Are not on same

http is on 8000

https is on 8080

By Doing Some back end configs from basis team , my application was able to run,

but one more problem raised here

That is , this app works fine with Mozilla firefox.

But From Internet explorer, iam using 6.0, when i open the preview , its always keep loading with out any result.

but when i see in the backend users , the user who is going to preview the app got lot of nodes created.

as imean to say that huge number of logins are taking place in the backend system wheni preview the application using the internet explorer,but doesnt happen with mozilla.

Mozilla is taking just one login and preview is sucess.

What might be the problem, i have tried by changing the settings in IE but could not suceed.

could u pls tell me if any one has the same issue?
