Hello,

yes, retry. Logout with root, login with root, check with ulimit value, start the sapinst. If the values for ulimit are set to -1 it means unlimited.

Hello,

you have to change this settings for the installation. Very easy with smitty > Security &Users > Users > Change characteristics of a user > User root

Hi

usually there is an dev_... trace file in the

directory where sapinst extracts

/tmp/sapinst_exe.393398.1162972548

Could you please take a look onto that for more detailed diagnostic information .

Best regards

Hello,

are you installing on AIX? Please check the root environment. ulimit -a. Limit parameter should be

#64-Bit-SAP (for SAP Kernel 7.0, also the user root needs this environment)

#Soft FILE size

#Soft CPU time

#Soft DATA segment

#Soft STACK size

#Soft CORE file size

#Hard FILE size

#Hard CPU time

#Hard DATA segment

#Hard CORE file size
