Hi!
If I start Windows I am getting the mmc-popup-error "Would you like to send it to..".
I have heared about Microsoft patches.
Can you give me the appropriate SAP-note for that or further information?
I use Windows Enterprise Server 2003, 64 bit
Thank you very much.
regards
I had to reflect a while what you are talking about.
did you describe the situation that:
after starting windows and loging in you get a popup with a message that an application has crashed (I did currently not remember the right text).
you where asked what to do with this information (sending or not it to MS).
there is not general SAP Note on how to handle this, because it depends on the application crashing. Typically it makes no sence to send it to MS.
The general recommendation is: yes, configure Windows Update to at least inform you about patches and install at least the driver patches and security fixes on a regular basis (security fixes timely close to their release date).
If SAP applications are crashing: get the latest fixes from Service Market Place and install them.
regards
Peter

I think what you´re talking about is a Dr.Watson and sending of the error log to Microsoft.
Install the latest MMC snap-in (sapmmc*.SAR) from the service marketplace for your release (6.40 or 7.00).
