Hello Experts!

We're trying to setup an S/4 HANA system and HANA database (new installation) via the SAP Provisioning Manager 2.0. During installation the PM halts the installation at 54% and prompts us the following error

We're trying to install on RHEL 8.6 with the following hardware specs:

RAM:32GB

CPU:8 core

Storage:800GB

  • How can this error be solved?

Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,Maryam

The error message is "cannot allocate enough memory".

A VM with only 32GB of RAM is very small for having SAP HANA and the Application Server on the same host.

If you can't give more RAM to the VM, maybe you can try increase the virtual memory and see if it solves the issue.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

What is the minimum RAM required for installation?

The installation exports files are around 30 in total, meaning they total around 32GB. After imported on the DB, the HANA memory needed will probably be around 60GB. Add more 12GB for the Application server and easily, will total 72GB.

Thank you!

I increased the amount of RAM to 96 GB and the installation was done
