I have written a report using CRXI professional. I have downloaded the trial of CRXI Developer, and installed it. When I open the report run it I get this error:
Failed to load database information. Details The database connector 'crdb_ads.dll' could not be loaded
I am trying to connect at an advantage DB, on a linux machine. FYI, the report worked on a different machine using the professional edition.
Any help????
Hi Rick,
Please update us with the following:
- What is the exact version of the CRXI Developer as well as Crystal XI Professional.
- What is the version of the Advantage database and the Advantage driver.
Please update the datasource location once again using the Database-> Set datasource location option and then try running the report.
Please update as per your earliest convenience.
Thanks!

Asha,
do you know how I would go about getting a username and password to this site? I tried my SAP login/password and that didn't get me in.
Thanks,
Rick

PS. I am able to create a new report connecting to access tables. Everything works great. Just can't connect to an Advantage DB.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick
Mentioned below is the link which provides information about supported drivers and platform.
Hope this will help you.
Regards
Asha.
Sorry all for taking so long to respond back to this thread.
The versions I have are:
Developer 11.5.8
Professional 11.0.0
Advantage 7.10
Which should all be compatible. After trying a few more things I believe that the trouble I am having is related to the connector. Someone here had it, however when I install it, I can't seem to find it when useing the "Set DataSource ". I'll keep you posted
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick
Save the report in CR Developer and then try to run the reports.
Would suggest you to check with SQLCON32 utility?cause issue seems to be with connections.
- Are you able to create a fresh report using Xtreme Sample database and advantage DB?
Regards
Asha.

Rick,
It seems you did not install the Advantage connector. You could also install the Advantage ODBC driver and connect through ODBC.
