Hello,
We have a problem similar to this one.
We have a DB with ~400 tables and ~1300 foreign keys. All tables are empty. Generation of Entity Data Model succeeds only when foreign keys are deleted. When foreign keys are present, the process seems to never end (even when trying to map only one table with no relations to other tables). DB server CPU load is near 100% almost all the time (from beginning until killing the mapping process).
It works fine with a much lesser DB on the same server (only 40 foreign keys).
DB server - Win XP 64 bit (test server), SA 12.0.1.3436.
We tried the workaround mentioned in the link above (DB server on Win 7) but with no success.
We also have applied the latest EBF (3726) to the client side but that did not help too.
Is it a bug or are there some known restrictions?
Thanks.
