Hi,

This sounds familiar : try setting default values for your BEx variables in BW query - this is effectively a workaround.

It will also speed-up the time to wait for query panel.

These issues are fixed / optimized in Patch2.12, i'm fairly sure about that.

Hi,

So, can you confirm: is it a BW BEX / BICS datasource or other?

And what is your Patch level?

Are you sure there are no variables in the BEx (processed by authorizations or exit perhaps ?)

Are you using any SAP SSO? (via the STS service)

Have you tried enabling a high TraceLog on the relevant services (APS DSL_Bridge, WebI Processing Server) and checking for errors ?

Hi Henry

1)Yes It is BW BEX /BICS DataSource

2)Patch Level - 10

3)Yes We have a Customer Exit varaible(Cost Center) but my ID dont have cost center values.

4)We are using SAP SSO in Connection

Hi,

You are trying to determine a root cause. so include/exclude factors :

2) Test again with Patch2.12

3) Test on a Bex Query without CC Exit Variable

4) Use a hardcoded usr/pwd in the BICS connection string

-> does it work now ? (Yes)

--> now try using SSO in the connection . Save and export. Does it fail ?

If yes, Trace the DSL_Bridge + STS (APS) services, and WebIprocessing Server - and search for |E| .. You'll find some plain text in the logs telling you "why" it is happening.

If no - it does not fail with SSO - then use the Bex query with CC Exit.

--> Does it fail ?

if no , happy days, Patch2.12 must have fixed it .

if yes, Trace the DSL_Bridge + STS (APS) services, and WebIprocessing Server - and search for |E| .. You'll find some plain text in the logs telling you "why" it is happening.

p.s. everything else is just guess work.
