Email Alerts through Process chains in SAP BI

Hi All,

1).I have created a Meta chain where in there are 4 local Process chains. I have enabled the Email notifications for the local chains in meta chain (which means whatever fails in Local chains I need to get an Email saying that the particular Process chain has got failed)

I have designed my Process chain like below.

I am not able to get an Email even the local chain DTP is being failed. This is my first issue.

2). I have checked with Basis they are saying that Server allows the email notifications with out any issue. Please let me know are there any settings to be done before we set Email notifications in Process chain variants?

I have seen some documents available in SCN and not able to conclude what was my issue.

Please check in SOST first, You will get to know from there about email delivery.

Also there is other options to get the alerts,

Please follow these steps,

1> Maintain ur email ID in SU01 against your ID.

2> Then go to T-code -  ALRTCATDEF > All Classifications > Process Chains (Double Click on it)              > Error in a Process of Process Chain > Click on "Fix Alert Recipients" Button > Add your SAP             User ID over there > Save

3>  Now go to RSPC and select which ever Process chain you want alerts > double click on Process         chain> Go to "Process Chain"  (From Menu) > "Attributes" > "Alerting" > Tick Mark "Send           Alerts If Error Occurs"

hi Bhavin,

The issue was All the Emails were in wait status and I informed Basis they made the proper settings again. now Emails are flowing.
