Hi,

We have started our upgrade from EhSP3 to EhSP4. However, we are getting the following error:

1 ETN214X."**************************************************"

1 ETN250 Start of phase: "'Disassemble Queue'"

1 ETN252 Start date: "20.05.2010"

1 ETN253 Start time: "11:14:27"

1 ETN214 ."**************************************************"

2 ETN234XDisassemble OCS package "SAPK-700IHINWEBCUIF" ...

2EETN514 Error when creating cofile for transport request "SAPK-700IHINWEBCUIF"

We have the correct, tp, r3trans, correct patches, TMS configuration, etc.

Pls advise us in going past this error.

Thanks,

Abdul

Hello Abdul,

ETN234XDisassemble OCS package "SAPK-700IHINWEBCUIF" ...

2EETN514 Error when creating cofile for transport request "SAPK-700IHINWEBCUIF"

it seems that the file SAPK-700IHINWEBCUIF" is corrupted.

can you try once by downloading this package again and putting it in EPS/in.

Hi,

The said patch is the first in the sequence for disassembling. My understanding is that EHPI is failing at the very beginning of the phase.

It doesnt look to be related to the issue with permissions or file corruption.

Thanks,

Abdul

EHPI is calling a function module in the ABAP engine to disassemble the file and to create a data and cofile to enable to use or tp and R3trans to import the package. That is failing. The reason can be a number of different ones:

- the source file is indeed corrupt

- the filesystem is full

- the filesystem access is prevented by permissions and/or user/password mismatch

- the domain controller is not available to check where to physically put data and cofile

To find out the reason you'll have to dig in to the logfiles (sort them by date and check them)

Please check that your filesystem is not full.

Hi Markus,

There is enough space in the filesystem.

Thx,

Can you execute

tp -V
R3trans -V

as user <sid>adm without problems?

Hi Markus,

There is enough space in the filesystem.

Just FYI - We are on SAP kernel level 201, ECC SP level EhSP3 patch 1, MS MQL Server on Windows 2003.

Yes, I can run tp -v, R3trans -v at OS level without any issues with user SIDadm.

Thx,

Abdul

Hi,

Please make sure that user <sid>adm has write permission on /usr/sap/trans.

Also, make sure that upgrade directory should have 777 permission.

Thanks
