Ecc6Sr2 connection to External system mssqlserver 2012 on windows 2003 servers

Hi ,

We had requirement to connect our Sap Ecc6 system which is on windows 2003 server need to integrate with External system mssqlserver 2012

we had already followed the notes as per smp. and configured accordingly but still facing issues. please find the logs below.

Hi Abdul,

Kindly check the sapnote 178949 - MSSQL: Database MultiConnect

is your current SAP system is on mssql database?

I think there is some problem with the driver.

1774329 - Preparing your SAP instance to connect to remote SQL server

2193929 - Remote SQL Server cannot be connected after applying support package.

we are on 700 Kernel Release and level  sp level 31.

Hi Abdul.

First you have to upgrade the kernel and then try the MS Sql DB connection. Try to upgrade the kernel 7.21 ext or 7.22

1. From the log you have to check the user id / password or external database access rights

I already go through with above mentioned link. And the currently working this on our DEV system.

but not able to connect on Stage system.

i have downloaded latest dbsl patch from smp and placed in sid exe and instance exe

and created Datasource in os level ----: Administritative tools and Datsoure ---- system dsn

maintain the entries.

Still facing the same issues.
