Hi,
We are working on a scenerion which is like this
Mail server to PI to ECC
But the sender mail adapter has duplicated the message, that is,the message is posted twice in the Integration Engine(SXMB_MONI).
We got the following SAP Notes in that regard
Note 1468660 - Duplication check for pop protocol
Note 1551313 - Duplicate check for POP at before start of module chain
Note 1518864 - Duplicate messages while use mail adapter - SAP Note 1468660
Note 1241039 - Duplication check and reliablity of mail adapter
Processing Sequence:
Number Module Name Type Module Key
1 AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean Local Enterprise Bean 1
2 localejbs/ExcelToXMLBean Local Enterprise Bean 2
3 AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean CHAN
4 sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean Local Enterprise Bean mail
Module Configuration
Module Key Parameter Name Parameter value
1 swap.keyName payload-name
1 swap.keyValue MailAttachment-1
CHAN Transform.ContentType text/xml;charset=utf-8
Can you please suggest the work around on this situation or which of the above mentioned SAP Notes will be applicable or useful for this scenerio?
Thanks in advance
if you are using POP protocol, then 1468660 is useful and since you are using module chain so this 1551313 is also useful. pls check the version of XI system before applying the note.
also see this note 1518864.

Yes,we are using the POP protocol.
We are on SAP PI7.1 EHP1.
Can you please elaborate what modifications to be done in the configuration part?
Thanks once again
ask your basis team to check note 15513313, check the SP on which your 7.11 system is and then download the patch attached in the note and apply it in the system. since it is a basis activity, they will know how to do it. then ask your basis team to do a full restart of your 7.11 system. then rerun your scenario and see if the error is resolved.
