Duplicate/Edit Standard Jobs

Hello,

In "Job Definitions", when I try to "duplicate" a standard "SAP_" job, it throws an error and doesn't let me duplicate it.

Also, the "edit" option for the standard jobs is disabled.

Is there a way by which I can copy these standard jobs?

Thanks.

in the redwood shell rs >

you can describe the job

spool it as a script

replace the name and excecute the script which will duplicate the job.

if you are using redwoods gui you can do a normal microsoft kind of copy/paste

for the target it will prompt for a name where you can give the new name.

Hi all,

Babu's answer is valid too, for the standalone version of CPS. For the integrated version used by Gautam, you can simply right-click and choose Duplicate... in the latest versions.

Hi Gautam,

If I recall correctly, this was a restriction of an older version. If you download the most recent version from service market place, you should be able to duplicate the standard job definitions.

Editing will still not be possible, but if you can duplicate them, you can create your own versions.
