Hello Victoria,

We use the FM DD_DROP_INDEX to drop automatically the index before a load and DD_CREATE_INDEX to create them after.

Thanks FCI,

With this drop of indexes, my activation of data would be faster?

and I save time with the creation of indexes later?

Because I understand that oracle automatically update indexes from P tables.

Yes update and activation will go faster. We found this solution efficient on really big master data (Q table with 60 millions records).

You will have to test if this solution fits your case.

Fred

Hi,

There should be option in the same section to delete the index.

From what I know there is no reason to recreate indexes after every load. I believe, the system takes care of it (insert statement).

Also think this has been discussed before in this forum. Please refer to previous posts.

Hi,

You can create secondary indexes on P Table using transaction SE11 >Diplay> Indexes(Top Panel).

You can do this manually in Dev, Quality or Prod if you have the right authorizations.

Thanks,

And once created, how can I drop and recreate it?

When active data in the infobject this index is re created?

Thanks
