From netweaver 2007 the spool of type PDF can be created, I want to download this PDF spool (whihc is already in PDF

format) on to local disk, how do I do it?

Please note this is not an OTF type output where I can use RSTXPDFT5.

The technology name is called Interactive Forms by Adobe (IFbA)

Yes, a spool is created. The PDF file is linked to this spool, but not exactly as a true PDF file: there's an XML file which contains the variable data, and an URL to the Adobe Form template stored in a cache on the ADS server. When you display the spool, SAP transmits the XML data and the URL to the Adobe Document Services which returns the PDF in temporary memory that can then be displayed.

So, when you display the spool (it took me 1 minute to debug), the routine SHOW_PART of function group SPOOL_SP01R is in charge of getting the PDF binary.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for ur input, your help has give me a hit, it actual work as follows...

1. Read the pdf file as binary data from application server stored under DIR_GLOBAL.

2. Conver this bonary data to xstring data using FM SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING

3. Then using gui_download download this to presentation server.
