How can I download SAP GUI for Windows to access my instance 'IDES ERP 6.0 EhP7 Scren Personas' without a 'S' userid?
Hi Matt,
this is a problem I'm facing serveral years now. I'm a freelancer with several and changing customers. I work often remote. And it not a fine feeling needing to ask my customer for the newest version of SAP GUI. And the customer is often not interested playing around with the newest features.
Why isn't it possible to get it free (and feel independant)? What can I do with it without having a paying customer or using a free CAL instance?
Best regards,
Jens

Hi Dan,
The SAPGUI for Windows is included with the IDES software on the disk image labeled "Presentation - 7.50 Compilation 1," which should have been one of the packages downloaded with the rest of the IDES media.
Access to IDES presumes that you have a valid customer or partner contract with SAP (see Note 2209434), so your "super administrator" in your organization should be able to either create an S-user (or the partner equivalent) for you, or download the software for you.
Cheers,
Matt

I don't see how this is possible, unless you have a SAP CAL instance? cal.sap.com
